Zippy Raises $20 Million in Series C Funding to Expand Manufactured Housing Finance

Zippy, a Dallas-based fintech company focused on manufactured housing finance, has raised $20 million in Series C funding from Saluda Grade, an investment firm specializing in asset-backed credit.

The company will use the funding to introduce new loan products across community, retail, and wholesale distribution channels. It also plans to expand its technology capabilities and increase its balance sheet capacity to support future growth.

Led by CEO Ben Halliday, Zippy provides a technology-enabled platform that helps lenders originate and service loans for manufactured homes. The company operates across 27 U.S. states and aims to make financing more accessible for homebuyers and sellers in a market that has traditionally relied on paper-based processes.

Zippy Aims to Modernize Manufactured Housing Finance

Zippy combines proprietary lending technology with institutional capital to simplify the financing process for manufactured homes. Its platform supports the entire lending lifecycle, from digital applications and underwriting to loan documentation and servicing.

The technology also includes tools for lending partners, helping them manage applications, evaluate borrowers, and make lending decisions more efficiently. Zippy says its standardized loan data is designed to improve transparency and make it easier to connect manufactured housing loans with institutional capital.

Manufactured housing plays a role in the U.S. Affordable housing market. Data from the Manufactured Housing Institute shows that the sector made up 5% of all U.S. Households in 2024 and accounted for 9% of single-family home starts in 2025.

Even though manufactured housing offers a way for people to achieve homeownership the financial systems supporting it have not evolved as much as those for traditional homes. The lending infrastructure for housing has remained outdated. Zippy is stepping in to change that. Zippy is building a kind of lending system that is modern, efficient and built specifically for the manufactured housing sector. The goal is to make financing easier and more accessible, for people who want to buy a manufactured home.

Saluda Grade Invests in Zippy’s Growth

Saluda Grade was the sole investor in Zippy’s $20 million Series C round. Beyond providing capital, the investment firm plans to work with Zippy on credit, capital markets, balance sheet management, and product development.

Zippy has also secured more than $600 million in capital commitments so far in 2026, according to the company information provided. These commitments could help support its lending operations and expansion, although capital commitments are not the same as funding raised through an equity round.

Saluda Grade was founded by Ryan Craft. Had $4.1 billion in assets under management as of July 1. The company works in asset management, growth equity, loan origination and servicing technology with a focus, on commercial real estate credit.

John Stepp, head of ventures at Saluda Grade, said Zippy had built an impressive platform in an overlooked area of housing finance. He also noted the firm’s longstanding relationship with the company’s founders.

Founders Bring Firsthand Experience in Manufactured Housing

Ben Halliday and Jordan Bucy started Zippy in 2021 after Ben Halliday and Jordan Bucy had worked in investment banking at JPMorgan and had studied the manufactured housing market.

Their interest in the sector grew from firsthand experience. Beginning in 2017, the pair managed and redeveloped a physical manufactured housing community. That experience helped them understand the challenges facing homeowners and the financing gaps within the industry.

Halliday said manufactured housing is already an important affordable homeownership option in the United States, but its financing system needs to become more modern and efficient.

He explained that Zippy was created to simplify financing for homeowners and home sellers while building the infrastructure needed to support the industry’s growth.

Funding to Support New Loan Products and Technology

With its latest funding, Zippy plans to expand its loan offerings, strengthen its technology platform and increase its capacity to finance manufactured homes.

Company strategy mixes lending technology and institutional capital to make loan processes better. Loan processes include originating, evaluating, documenting and servicing loans. Company also expands distribution channels and partners with investment partners. Zippy wants to help participants in the manufactured housing market.

Series C round shows that investors are interested in technology that serves specific parts of the housing market. This interest is strong where old processes and thin financing infrastructure give room, for improvement.
