Dublin-Based LearnUpon Secures €44.5M to Drive Global Expansion

Dublin-based enterprise learning platform LearnUpon has secured €44.5 million ($50 million) in growth financing to support its business expansion.

The funding was provided by Claret Capital Partners, a London-based investment firm that specialises in growth debt financing. The firm has invested more than €1.5 billion in over 210 companies across technology, life sciences and impact-focused sectors. Founded in 2013, Claret Capital Partners has raised a total of €1.3 billion in capital. Its Fund IV is supported by several institutional investors, including the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF).

“We believe the real winner in the AI era won’t just be the fastest technology, but the organisations that best unlock human potential,” said Noud, CEO and co-founder of LearnUpon.

Founded in 2012 by Brendan Noud and Des Anderson, LearnUpon has spent more than a decade developing learning management software for businesses. Its customers range from large Fortune 100 companies to growing small and medium-sized businesses.

LearnUpon helps organisations train and develop their employees, customers and association members through its online learning platform. Businesses use its software to create and manage training programmes and improve learning experiences.

LearnUpon is headquartered in Dublin and also operates in London, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, Sydney and Belgrade. Its platform supports organisations in employee training, customer education and association management.

“LearnUpon has built a strong, scaled business and is now moving quickly to capture the opportunity agentic AI is creating in corporate learning. We’re delighted to support the team as the company accelerates its organic and acquisition strategy,” said Philip Treacy, Vice President, Claret Capital Partners.

The growth financing is structured to help LearnUpon raise funds without reducing the ownership share of its existing shareholders. The company will use the money to speed up the development of its AI-powered learning platform, expand into more international markets and explore opportunities to acquire other businesses.

LearnUpon aims to strengthen its position in the corporate learning market by using AI agents to improve how businesses train and develop their employees. Its long-term goal is to become a leading platform for corporate learning in the age of AI.
