NEURA Robotics Acquires Adlatus to Strengthen Its Smart Robot Portfolio

German robotics company NEURA Robotics, based in Metzingen, has announced that it will acquire 100% of Adlatus Robotics, a company from Ulm that develops autonomous cleaning robots.

The acquisition was made through NEURA Mobile Robots GmbH, which focuses on logistics and automated vehicles. The deal will bring Adlatus Robotics fully into the NEURA Robotics group.

As part of the deal, Adlatus’s existing fleet of cleaning and sweeping robots will become part of NEURA’s wider “Neuraverse” platform. This will help NEURA expand its robotics technology into more real-world applications.

David Reger, founder and CEO of NEURA Robotics, said, “We’re not buying ADLATUS just to add another cleaning robot to our portfolio. We want to give machines like this a new brain. Cleaning is a massive global labour market and, at the same time, a perfect example of what Physical AI can transform. When a robot doesn’t just navigate its environment but understands what it sees, senses, and needs to do, an entirely new generation of machines emerges. That’s exactly what we’re building the Neuraverse for.”

The acquisition of Adlatus comes just a few weeks after NEURA Mobile Robots agreed to acquire the ACTIVE Shuttle automated guided vehicle business from Bosch Rexroth.

That deal added Bosch Rexroth’s ACTIVE Fleet Manager and ROKIT navigation software to the NEURA Group. The company plans to make these technologies available through its Neuraverse platform.

Founded in 2019, NEURA Robotics develops cognitive robots, including the humanoid 4NE1 and robotic arms such as MAiRA and LARA. It also develops the software and AI systems that help these robots learn new skills.

NEURA is building the Neuraverse, a shared AI platform where robots can learn, work together and use shared knowledge across different real-world environments. The company aims to create an ecosystem where cognitive robots can continuously improve and collaborate.
