Rosie, a Seattle-based startup that combines childcare and household help, has raised $7 million across two funding rounds led by Bling Capital and Reach Capital.
The funding will help the company expand its services to new cities, starting with Austin in early 2027, followed by San Francisco later in the year.
Other investors include Graham & Walker, Marketplace Capital, Ingeborg Investments, Precursor Ventures, Mother Ventures, and Yonder Ventures. Angel investors include DoorDash co-founder Evan Moore and Aviel Ginzburg of Founders’ Co-op and Foundations.
Founded by former Amazon engineers Mitra Raman and Karthika Shankar, Rosie aims to help busy parents manage household tasks while spending more time with their children.
The company connects families with trained caregivers, known as Pros, who provide a mix of childcare and everyday household support. Their tasks include folding laundry, organizing rooms, unloading dishwashers, and looking after children. Unlike traditional cleaning services, Rosie focuses on light household work rather than deep cleaning.
Rosie uses AI to manage scheduling, match families with caregivers, and remember household routines and preferences. Its technology is designed to help families work with familiar caregivers who understand their needs.
Families pay a monthly membership starting at $250 for eight hours of service, $500 for 16 hours, or $750 for 24 hours. Additional hours cost $32 each.
The startup currently serves nearly 300 families in the Seattle area and works with more than 100 caregivers. According to the company, it reached seven-figure annual recurring revenue within eight months.
Rosie plans to expand its platform beyond childcare and household tasks. Future services could include pet care, companionship for older adults, errands, and driving assistance.
With its latest funding, Rosie aims to grow its caregiver network, improve its AI-powered operations, and bring its home support service to more families across the United States.
