Vinyl Health Raises $2M in Seed Funding to Expand Its AI-Powered Personal Health Assistant

US-based health technology company Vinyl Health has raised $2 million in seed funding led by HealthX Ventures. The company uses AI to help people record, understand and share their health information. The funding will support its public launch and further development of its personal health assistant, which is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Managing healthcare information can be difficult for patients and their families. Medical details are often spread across different apps, printed documents, hospital visit summaries, referrals and messages. Vinyl Health brings this information together in one place, making it easier for people to keep track of their healthcare needs.

Vinyl allows users to record medical appointments and voice notes, as well as collect health records from connected healthcare providers. Its AI tools help users understand what happened during appointments and what steps they may need to take next. The platform also makes it easier to share important information with doctors and involve family members and friends in care and support.

Vinyl Health was founded by Dr. Kaitlan Baston, a healthcare leader who previously served as New Jersey’s health commissioner and a hospital CEO. She created the company to help patients better understand their healthcare and reduce the stress and workload that medical care can place on patients and their loved ones.

“Patients are expected to make important decisions about their health, but they often leave appointments or hospitalizations without a clear understanding of what happened or what to do next,” said Dr. Kaitlan Baston, CEO of Vinyl Health. “Time is of the essence in healthcare, and access has been a problem for far too long. People are desperate for answers and guidance, and it is up to us to give them a trusted resource that has the full context of who they are. As I used to tell my patients, I’m the consultant. You’re the CEO of your own body. Now is the time to build around the patient.”

“Vinyl is addressing a major gap in healthcare: the patient’s ability to record, understand, manage, and share their own health information,” said Mark Bakken, Managing Partner at HealthX Ventures. “By using AI to document the visit, Vinyl allows patients to be more present in the conversation with their doctor instead of worrying about remembering every detail. That creates a stronger, more informed relationship between patients and clinicians.”

Vinyl Health is a personal health assistant that helps people keep their medical records and recorded doctor visits in one place. It makes it easier to understand and organize health information, share updates securely with healthcare providers, and keep family members and care partners informed.

Vinyl aims to give people a clearer picture of their health by bringing important information together. Its platform can help users find relevant health details when they need them and make it easier to coordinate support from family, friends and care teams. The company wants to make healthcare simpler and help people feel more confident and involved in their care.
