Bedrock Robotics Raises $600M in Series C at $4.1B Valuation

San Francisco-based Bedrock Robotics, a startup developing autonomous technology for heavy construction equipment, has raised $600 million in Series C funding at a post-money valuation of $4.1 billion.

The funding round was co-led by CapitalG and Emergence Capital, with participation from new investors US Innovative Technology Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners and Temasek. Existing investors 8VC, Georgian, Valor Equity Partners, Xora, Eclipse, Perry Creek Capital and NVIDIA also participated.

The latest investment brings Bedrock Robotics’ total funding to nearly $1 billion. The company plans to use the capital to expand commercial deployments, increase the number of autonomous machines operating on construction sites and strengthen its field operations across the United States.

Formed in 2024 by ex-employees of Waymo, Bedrock Robotics designs autonomous systems that are compatible with existing heavy construction equipment, beginning with excavators. The company’s technology is aimed at helping builders achieve automation of earthmoving without having to replace their fleets of construction machinery.

In August 2026, the company reached a commercial milestone when its fully autonomous excavators began performing paid work on active construction sites.

Bedrock Robotics is expanding its customer base as construction companies look for ways to improve productivity, address skilled labor shortages and manage project schedules more efficiently.

One of its new customers is Haydon, an employee-owned general contractor based in Tempe, Arizona. The company is deploying Bedrock’s technology at a remote construction site in Texas, with plans to explore additional applications across building and heavy civil construction projects.

Other customers include Wagner Construction, Smith Trucking Company, B&S Site Development, Native Excavating, Clarkson Construction and C.W. Matthews. These deployments expand Bedrock’s presence across several US regions.

The company aims to help construction crews increase productivity by allowing autonomous equipment to work alongside existing teams and job-site processes. Its longer-term plans include expanding beyond excavators to support multiple types of autonomous construction machinery.

Alongside the funding announcement, Bedrock Robotics appointed Amy Jones Satrom as Vice President of Operations and Lando Juarez as General Counsel to support its growing commercial operations.

The new funding will help the startup scale its technology, expand its customer network and build the operational infrastructure needed to bring autonomous construction equipment to more projects nationwide.
