VIVA Finance Secures $150 Million Credit Facility

VIVA Finance, an Atlanta-based fintech company, has secured a $150 million credit facility from Viola Credit to expand its consumer lending business.

The new funding will help VIVA Finance provide more personal loans to consumers who struggle to access affordable credit through traditional banks and credit providers.

VIVA Finance specializes in payroll-linked lending, a system that connects loan repayments to borrowers’ payroll or direct deposit. This approach helps the company manage repayments and offer personal loans with more affordable terms.

The company’s platform is designed for workers who may be underserved by traditional credit scoring systems. It aims to provide transparent credit options for people who need money to manage unexpected expenses and other financial needs.

“This strategic partnership with Viola Credit represents a major milestone for VIVA as we continue to scale our platform and expand our market footprint,” said Jack Markwalter, CEO and founder of VIVA Finance. “Viola Credit’s deep expertise in fintech and structured finance makes them an ideal partner for this next phase of our growth. This debt facility empowers us to bring our responsible credit solutions to even more consumers, helping them achieve financial stability and avoid predatory alternatives.”

The latest credit facility comes as VIVA Finance expands its reach through partnerships across the employee credit market. The company plans to use the additional capital to grow its lending operations and serve more borrowers.

Viola Credit is a global alternative asset manager focused on technology-enabled lending. Its new financing facility will support VIVA Finance as it expands its payroll-linked credit platform.

“VIVA Finance has built an exceptional platform that addresses a critical gap in consumer finance,” said Michael Chen, Managing Director, Head of US Investments at Viola Credit. “Their innovative approach to payroll integration and commitment to responsible lending have driven impressive performance. We are thrilled to partner with Jack, Hodges and the entire VIVA team to support their continued expansion and mission.”

Headquartered in Atlanta, VIVA Finance focuses on making consumer credit more accessible through payroll-linked lending, responsible underwriting, and transparent loan products.
