Lupin Dental Raises €15 Million to Bring Robotics to Dental Procedures

Lupin Dental, a robotics startup based in Montpellier, France, has raised €15 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Fynveur, which invested €10 million. Existing shareholders and private investors also participated, while Bpifrance provided additional support through a loan.

Fynveur and its advisor, Invus, will work closely with Lupin Dental to provide strategic guidance and support its operations. Invus will also join the company’s board.

Co-founders Dr. Galip Gürel and Dr. Stefen Koubi said, “Lupin Dental opens a new chapter with this important milestone. It reflects our investors’ confidence in our vision and enables us to accelerate our mission to transform dental care through innovation.”

Founded in 2019 by Dr. Gürel and Dr. Koubi, Lupin Dental is a robotics company focused on the dental industry. It develops robotic technology to make dental procedures more precise, improve how dentists work, and deliver better results for patients.

The company was created to bring supervised automation to dental treatments such as veneers and other complex procedures. Its Lupin Robotic System is a robotic platform that helps dentists perform minimally invasive tooth preparation for cosmetic veneers.

The system includes software that helps dentists design a patient’s desired smile and create a treatment plan for preparing the teeth. The robotic workstation then follows this plan and precisely prepares the tooth for the final dental restoration.
