Greentech Alliance Acquires Intermobility to Expand Its Global Sustainable Mobility Network

Berlin-based Greentech Alliance (GTA), a global network that connects sustainable technology businesses, has agreed to acquire Paris-based Intermobility. Intermobility is a transport and mobility network that brings together more than 1,000 companies, public authorities and other industry players.

After the acquisition, the combined network will have more than 5,000 members and partners across 25 countries on six continents. It will connect climate investors, startups, large companies and policymakers to support the shift towards cleaner and more sustainable transport.

“Europe does not have a mobility technology problem, it has a coordination problem. The capital, the startups and the cities are all there, but they rarely meet. Bringing Intermobility into Greentech Alliance puts the people who build, fund and buy mobility solutions in one network, and we are inviting investors and companies who want a seat at that table to join us,” said Charles Newton Price, CEO, Greentech Alliance.

“Mobility only changes when founders, investors, operators and public authorities move together. Intermobility built that table in Europe. Greentech Alliance gives it international reach and access to capital, while keeping a grounded European perspective at its heart,” said Hoehlinger, founder, Intermobility.

Greentech Alliance was founded in Berlin in May 2020 by Lubomila Jordanova, Simon Thies, Hannah Kromminga and Jan-Jaap Verhoeve. It is a global network that connects startups, investors, educators and business partners working to build a more sustainable economy.

The organisation operates as a non-profit in Canada and a for-profit company in Germany. It currently has more than 3,000 members and partners across six continents, including over 700 investors. So far, it has helped members make more than 2,000 business connections.

Intermobility was founded in 2022 by François Hoehlinger. It is a European network that connects companies and public organisations working in the transport and mobility sectors.

By bringing Intermobility’s transport operators, cities and public authorities together with Greentech Alliance’s climate investors, startups and large companies, the acquisition aims to create more opportunities for sustainable mobility solutions to grow. It will also help promising projects move beyond the testing stage and reach wider markets.
