Caju AI Secures Strategic Investment from Arthur Ventures

Caju AI, a Charlottesville, Virginia-based company that helps enterprises and government agencies manage business communications across mobile and private messaging channels, has received a strategic investment from Arthur Ventures, an early-growth investment firm focused on B2B software companies. The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

The partnership will support Caju AI’s product development, strengthen its artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, expand its global sales and partner networks, and grow its customer success team.

Caju AI helps organizations manage business conversations across channels such as WhatsApp, iMessage, SMS, and other private messaging platforms. Its platform allows businesses to set communication policies, capture messages in compliance with regulatory requirements, and use AI to categorize conversations, identify key themes, and prioritize messages for compliance reviews.

“The industry spent five years getting mobile messages captured. Governing those channels well, and actually learning something from what is in them, is the harder problem, and it is the one we solve,” said Otavio Freire, Co-Founder and CEO of Caju AI. “Customers tell us two things: Caju was live faster than anything else they have deployed, and for the first time they can see what is happening in these channels.”

The platform is designed to help compliance teams focus on important conversations while giving organizations better visibility into business communications that may otherwise be difficult to monitor. Caju AI also aims to simplify adoption, allowing customers to deploy the platform in weeks and onboard employees in minutes.

The company serves enterprises and government agencies across financial services, life sciences, other regulated industries, and the public sector, including organizations at the U.S. federal level. It operates across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, both directly and through partnerships with archiving and compliance technology providers.

“We are excited to partner with Otavio and the Caju AI team as they help customers capitalize on the transition we’re seeing as business channels shift towards mobile and private messaging,” said Andrew Heim, General Partner at Arthur Ventures. “We are thrilled to provide growth capital to support their continued success.”

The investment comes as businesses increasingly rely on private messaging channels for work-related communication, creating a greater need for tools that support governance, compliance, and AI-powered monitoring.

Headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia, Caju AI is SOC 2 compliant. Williams Mullen served as legal counsel to Caju AI, while Gunderson Dettmer LLP advised Arthur Ventures.
