Comparables.ai, an AI platform that provides intelligence on private and public markets, has raised $6 million in seed funding. The company will use the funding to expand into more markets and further develop its core AI technology.
The funding round was led by Pragmatech and Araya Ventures, with participation from Purple Ventures, Gorilla Capital, hi5 Ventures, Somersault Ventures, and other investors.
“Mid-market M&A has always been a visibility problem. If you cannot see the whole field, you cannot run the best process. We built Comparables.ai to give any deal team the asymmetric advantage of a global bank, “said co-founder Martin Kangasniemi.
Comparables.ai will use the new funding to expand into more markets and improve its AI technology.
Commenting on the investment, Rupa Popat, Founder and Managing Partner of Araya Ventures, said: “Araya are excited to back this incredible team of talented operators who are supercharging dealmaking and M&A activity with full transparency, data and true market visibility.”
Comparables.ai was founded by Niko Nalli, Markus Vesala, Martin Kangasniemi, and Muhammad Ammad-ud-din. The platform is designed for corporate development teams, private equity firms, M&A advisors, and investment banks.
The company aims to make dealmaking easier by helping users find potential acquisition targets, buyers, and other important market information. It gives teams a clearer view of the market without requiring them to search through many different sources.
Comparables.ai combines data on more than 370 million active companies with an AI-powered search and discovery engine. The platform brings together company financials, ownership structures, valuations, M&A deals, and verified contact details, helping users quickly find companies and key decision-makers in one place.
