Doris Labs, a London-based startup building an AI data layer for go-to-market teams, has raised $600,000 in Pre-Seed funding. The round was led by Fuel Ventures, with participation from Manchester Angels and several other angel investors.
The company’s founders, Hayden and Frazer, have seen this challenge firsthand through their previous work at Vertice and PatSnap. Many sales teams already want to use AI to automate parts of their sales process and get a clearer view of their pipeline.
However, their data is usually spread across eight or more different tools, including CRM systems, call recording platforms, and email. This makes it difficult for AI models to understand and use the data effectively.
“We’ve seen it so many times that each deal is treated as if it is siloed from the rest of the GTM – this doesn’t and shouldn’t have to be the case. The answer to any deal is there, just no one knows how to find it – Doris does.” said Hayden Munt, Co-founder and CEO, Doris Labs.
A CRM usually stores basic details such as the deal stage and value. But it often misses important information, such as what a customer said during a sales call or why similar deals were won. That knowledge is usually spread across call recordings, emails, documents, and the sales team’s experience. When an employee leaves, much of that knowledge can leave with them.
Unlike AI tools that focus on individual calls or dashboards that sit on top of a CRM, Doris works underneath the entire go-to-market system. It brings together unstructured data and organises it into a clear structure that both people and AI agents can understand and use.
Doris is also launching Sidekicks, AI assistants designed to support individual deals from start to finish. Each Sidekick has its own memory and routines and can use lessons from the company’s past deals to help sales teams move deals forward.
“Agents are only as good as the context they get, and today that is one call or a CRM snapshot. Doris gives them the company’s whole GTM history, every deal and every conversation, as one ontology. Our platform, and any MCP-compatible agent can read it.” said Frazer Kearl, Co-founder and CTO, Doris Labs.
“Hayden and Frazer have lived the problem they’re solving, which has translated into how unique and grounded their approach is. Every sales team is about to put AI agents to work, and those agents are only as good as the context they can reach. Whoever owns the layer that holds that context will matter a great deal, and Doris has already built that foundation.” said Mark Pearson, Founder and Managing Partner, Fuel Ventures.
“Doris caught our attention with a unique approach and credible plan for a huge market. What sealed it was that each angel in our group could point to a moment at their own company where Doris would have made a real difference. That made the investment an easy decision,” said David Levine, Principal, Manchester Angels.
Doris Labs has built a semantic layer for go-to-market teams that brings important sales data together from CRMs, calls, emails, documents, and other tools. It organises this information into one connected system that both sales teams and AI can understand.
The platform can then use this information to monitor sales pipelines, identify deals that may be falling behind, and handle routine deal-related tasks. This allows revenue teams to spend more time focusing on selling.
Unlike AI tools that focus on a single sales call, Doris keeps track of the full history of each deal, including customer requests, objections, and commitments made throughout the sales process.
