CopperPilot Raises $390K in Pre-Seed Round

CopperPilot, an AI-powered electronics hardware design startup, has raised $390,000 in pre-seed funding to improve its technology and help engineers design circuit boards faster.

The funding round was led by Neon Fund, with additional participation from US-based angel investors. The company plans to use the capital to advance product development, improve the reliability of its AI agent and expand its engineering team.

Founded in October 2025 by Aditya NG, Mohit Bagur and Anish Harsha, CopperPilot develops AI software that converts natural-language instructions into circuit board designs ready for manufacturing.

Traditional electronics hardware development can take six to 15 weeks and cost between $7,500 and $30,000, according to the company. CopperPilot aims to reduce this process to hours by automating several stages of hardware design.

Its platform helps engineers research requirements, select electronic components, create circuit schematics, design and route circuit boards and check for electrical errors and design-rule violations.

The software works with existing engineering tools, including KiCad, with support for Altium and LTspice. It also integrates with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, allowing developers to manage hardware design tasks directly from their coding environments.

Alongside the funding announcement, CopperPilot introduced Epsilon, the first version of its flagship AI hardware design agent.

The startup reports a 25-fold increase in weekly active users since August 2026 and has processed more than 6,000 design artifacts on its platform. It has also published 30 open-source circuit board designs that users can inspect through KiCad.

CopperPilot serves paying customers across the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, with an engineering hub in Bengaluru, India.

The company is targeting industries such as robotics, consumer electronics, renewable energy, the Internet of Things (IoT) and electric vehicles, where faster hardware development can help teams build and test products more efficiently.

With the new funding, CopperPilot aims to make electronics engineering more accessible and reduce the time and cost required to move from an initial idea to a working hardware prototype.
