ClarityCare, a San Francisco-based healthcare technology startup, has raised $16.3 million in Series A funding to improve administrative workflows and reduce the burden of paperwork for healthcare providers.
The funding round was led by Headline, with participation from Maverick Ventures, Transpose Platform, Firstminute Capital, Top Harvest Capital, Arthur Ventures and FJ Labs.
The company plans to use the funds to develop its automation technology, expand its engineering and product design teams, attract more healthcare customers across the United States and integrate its platform with existing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Led by CEO Hermine Tranie ClarityCare builds software that automates tasks for healthcare organizations. The platform is focused on billing, clinical documentation and tracking data. It helps medical providers cut down on work and boost efficiency.
Healthcare providers often spend significant time managing billing processes, updating patient records and handling administrative tasks. These activities can increase operating costs and take time away from patient care.
ClarityCare aims to address these challenges by automating repetitive workflows and connecting administrative processes through its digital infrastructure.
The startup has already deployed its core workflow technology in live healthcare settings. According to the company, its platform helps clinical practices reduce variable billing costs and spend less time on manual electronic documentation.
With the funding ClarityCare is planning to grow its technology and add more customers while also making connections stronger, with the software systems that many hospitals already use. ClarityCare wants to help hospitals make their day‑to‑day work smoother cut down on paperwork and boost efficiency.
