Portuguese space technology company Neuraspace has raised €15.6 million in new funding to expand its AI-powered platform for monitoring satellites and improving space safety.
The financing includes investments from Lince Capital, Explorer Investments, and Armilar Venture Partners, along with funding from Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
Founded in 2020 by Chiara Manfletti, Neuraspace develops software that helps commercial companies, government agencies, and defence organizations monitor satellites and manage risks in space.
As the number of satellites in orbit continues to grow, space is becoming more crowded. This increases the risk of satellite collisions, cyberattacks, radio signal interference, and other security threats.
Neuraspace’s AI-powered platform combines data from multiple sensors with advanced orbit tracking and risk analysis. It helps satellite operators detect potential problems, assess threats, and make faster decisions to protect their missions.
CEO Chiara Manfletti said the company is expanding its focus from space safety to both space safety and security, helping customers respond to accidental events as well as intentional threats.
The new funding will be used to improve the company’s AI platform, accelerate autonomous mission operations, expand its optical sensing infrastructure, and strengthen NeuraspaceDEF, its solution designed for government and defence customers.
With the latest investment, Neuraspace aims to strengthen Europe’s capabilities in space monitoring while supporting the growing demand for secure and reliable satellite operations.
