Locus Robotics, a Wilmington, Massachusetts-based company developing warehouse automation and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), has raised $41.6 million in Series G funding.
The funding round included Tiger Global Management, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, G2 Venture Partners, and Scale Venture Partners.
Led by CEO Rick Faulk, Locus Robotics develops autonomous robots and an automated material-handling platform that help warehouses improve fulfillment operations.
Its robots work alongside human employees, transporting inventory across warehouses and helping reduce manual workload and worker fatigue.
The company operates through a Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) model. Its cloud-based software connects with existing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to manage robot routes, optimize picking paths and balance workloads in real time.
Locus Robotics will use the new funding to expand its global supply chain and manufacturing operations, accelerate development of its multi-robot orchestration software, and support its commercial expansion across Europe and Asia.
