French Fintech Spiko Raises €80M to Expand Across Europe

Paris and London-based fintech company Spiko has raised €80.03 million ($90 million) in a Series B funding round. The company operates a tokenised cash fund platform that helps investors access cash and treasury-based investment products. The new funding comes after Spiko raised €18.9 million in Series A funding in July 2025, bringing its total funding to around €106.7 million ($120 million).

The Series B round was led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA), a global venture capital firm with more than €33.78 billion ($38 billion) in assets under management. Existing investors Index Ventures, Speedinvest, and White Star Capital also participated in the round, along with Bpifrance, Flourish Ventures, Shapers, Blockwall, Frst, EQNX, Mirana Ventures, and Wintermute Ventures.

The funding also attracted several notable angel investors, including Axel Weber, former president of the German central bank, the Bundesbank, as well as the founders of Qonto. With the new investment, Spiko plans to continue growing its platform and making tokenised cash and treasury products more accessible to investors.

“Paul-Adrien and Antoine are building the default home for cash. Money market funds are where trust is earned, and the same model extends naturally to new markets and new products,” said Philip Chopin, Managing Director and Head of Europe at NEA.

Spiko was founded in 2023 by Paul-Adrien Hyppolite and Antoine Michon. The company develops and offers its own regulated cash funds to investors.

Before founding Spiko, Hyppolite worked as Deputy Head of the Financial Markets division at the French Treasury. Michon previously worked as a technology advisor to the French government and led technology deployments at Palantir.

“Every person and every organisation holds cash, yet whether it earns anything still depends on who you are and how much you have. Yield should be universal. Our ambition is to make all cash earn by default, around the clock,” said Hyppolite, co-founder and CEO of Spiko.

Spiko will use the new funding to launch more funds, enter new markets, and grow its team. The company already has offices in Paris and London and is expanding its local presence in Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, and the Nordic countries.
