Uniform Labs, the developer of Multiliquid, has raised seed funding in a round led by Polychain. The round also included participation from Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures, bringing Multiliquid’s total funding to $8 million.
Multiliquid is building a liquidity protocol that helps institutions exchange assets and stablecoins quickly. This platform aims to make it easier for financial institutions to move money between investments and digital currencies so financial institutions do not have to wait days for settlement processes.
Tokenized assets include blockchain-based versions of traditional financial products, such as US Treasury securities, money market funds and private credit. Although interest in these assets is growing, traditional subscription and redemption processes can still delay access to funds.
Multiliquid hopes to solve this problem by letting people swap assets and stablecoins in just one transaction. Multiliquid’s platform works nonstop. Is built to give instant settlement for eligible transactions.
The protocol supports tokenized funds from asset managers including Wellington Management, VanEck, Janus Henderson and Fasanara. It also supports major stablecoins, including USDC.
“Tokenization only matters if the assets are actually liquid,” said Will Beeson, Founder and CEO of Multiliquid. “Traditional capital markets rely on deep repo facilities and overnight lending to keep liquidity moving. On-chain finance requires the same institutional plumbing. Having Polychain lead this round, joined by Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures, validates our focus: liquidity and continuous settlement are the next foundational layer for institutional adoption.”
“Tokenized assets have started to gain traction but liquidity remains the bottleneck. Multiliquid is building the connective layer for institutions to move seamlessly between tokenized funds and stablecoins across issuers and venues. Will’s deep experience in this market is unmatched, and we’re excited to back this breakthrough project,” said Olaf Carlson-Wee, Founder of Polychain.
The company is developing its infrastructure as institutions increasingly look for ways to manage tokenized investments alongside digital payments. Stablecoins can be used for transactions, while tokenized financial products can provide investment exposure. Multiliquid aims to connect these two functions through a single liquidity layer.
Founded by former employees of Standard Chartered and UniCredit, Uniform Labs is focused on reducing settlement delays in blockchain-based financial markets.
The new funding will support Multiliquid’s efforts to develop its infrastructure and serve institutional participants in digital finance. Its broader goal is to enable faster, more flexible movement between tokenized real-world assets and stablecoins.
