Numeracle Raises $28 Million Growth Investment Led by Edison Partners

Numeracle, a technology company specializing in business identity verification and communications security, has raised $28 million in growth funding led by Edison Partners. The investment will help the company expand into new industries and international markets while growing its sales, product development, research, and go-to-market teams.

Numeracle helps businesses verify their identities and protect their phone calls from being incorrectly labeled as spam or blocked by telecommunications carriers. As phone scams and caller impersonation increase, legitimate organizations such as hospitals, schools, airlines, and financial institutions can struggle to reach customers because their calls may be flagged as suspicious.

According to a national study conducted by Numeracle, 69% of U.S. consumers have missed, ignored, or declined a call because they could not trust the caller ID.

Helping Businesses Build Trust in Communications

Many phone number reputation services focus on monitoring spam labels and requesting corrections from carriers. Numeracle takes a broader approach by verifying the identity of the business behind a phone number and using that verified identity to help prevent incorrect labeling and resolve existing issues.

Its platform also supports branded calling, allowing businesses to display their names on outgoing calls so recipients can better identify who is contacting them.

“We built Entity Identity Management because fraud and impersonation are not fundamentally communications problems, they are identity problems,” said Rebekah Johnson, Founder and CEO of Numeracle. “Edison Partners recognized that this was never just a telecom story. It’s a trust story, and trust scales far beyond any single phone call. With their partnership, we’re ready to build the identity layer for every business interaction.”

The company was founded after its leadership identified the risk that anti-fraud systems could also disrupt legitimate business communications. Its work focuses on helping verified organizations maintain trusted communication with customers.

Expanding Identity Verification with AI and Digital Channels

Numeracle plans to use the new investment to extend its identity verification technology beyond voice calls into messaging, rich communications, and other digital channels.

One of its latest offerings, Know Your Customer as a Service (KYCaaS), provides ongoing business identity verification. The service helps platforms confirm that organizations are legitimate before allowing them to join their networks.

“With Rebekah’s extensive experience in telecommunications and compliance, Numeracle has become a trusted partner to both the enterprises making calls and the carriers delivering them, and its customers see the results in higher contact rates and greater customer confidence. The combination of a proven business, a visionary founder, and rapidly growing demand makes this a compelling investment for us,” said Lenard Marcus, General Partner at Edison Partners.

The solution is also designed to help telecommunications companies meet evolving identity verification and compliance requirements without having to build and maintain their own verification infrastructure.

Growing Enterprise Customer Base

Numeracle reports that its annual recurring revenue increased by 70% year over year. The company verifies and protects the identities of more than 4,000 enterprise brands across financial services, retail, healthcare, and home services, serving businesses ranging from independent operators to Fortune 500 companies.

With Edison Partners’ backing, Numeracle aims to expand its platform and strengthen its role in business identity verification, compliance readiness, and secure communications infrastructure.
