Legaltech Startup EnforceShield Raises €1.7 Million to Expand AI-Powered IP Enforcement

Legaltech startup EnforceShield has raised €1.7 million in seed funding to grow its platform for automating intellectual property (IP) enforcement.

The funding round was led by Vendep Capital, with participation from FIRSTPICK VC. The new investment will help EnforceShield further develop and expand its platform.

Rudzinskas, CEO and founder of EnforceShield, said, “When I founded this company, I felt we were already operating on borrowed time. Generative AI had made IP abuse a booming business, but enforcement was still largely a human-scale operation. Enterprises didn’t need more lawyers or even a software co-pilot. They needed tech that’s able to think like a lawyer and pilot itself through enforcement workflows.

“We started by reworking the legal operational workflows I’ve spent years building and operating manually and encoded that expertise into a system that can run autonomously. EnforceShield is now freeing human teams from a glut of repetitive work they’ll never manage manually, and developing the most sophisticated software that can perform the operational enforcement function itself and at scale.”

EnforceShield will use the funding to improve its technology and product. The company plans to make its AI agents capable of handling more than standard takedown requests, including repeat offenders, escalations, and more complex IP enforcement cases.

The company also plans to expand its business in the US. At the same time, EnforceShield will broaden its platform to support more stages of the intellectual property lifecycle.

Founded in 2024 by attorney Rytis Rudzinskas, EnforceShield is a SaaS company that helps businesses protect their intellectual property (IP) online. Its platform finds and helps remove issues such as counterfeit products, unauthorised sellers, fake listings, cloned websites, impersonation sites, and phishing pages.

EnforceShield covers the full IP enforcement process. This includes finding infringements across different platforms, reviewing cases, checking evidence, sending takedown requests, monitoring results, and handling escalations.

Instead of simply finding possible IP violations and sending them to legal teams, EnforceShield uses AI agents to review cases and take enforcement action. The platform combines AI with legal and platform-specific rules to decide how each case should be handled.

The system considers factors such as a company’s IP portfolio, available evidence, relevant laws, platform rules, and enforcement requirements before taking action. EnforceShield follows a “human-at-the-end” approach, where lawyers and analysts review results and handle unusual or complex cases, while AI manages routine work.
