Anthropic Invests $100 Million to Train 10,000 AI Engineers

Anthropic is investing $100 million to launch a new AI training academy aimed at helping businesses build the skills needed to use artificial intelligence in their operations.

The company said its Claude Frontier Academy will train up to 10,000 AI engineers by the end of 2027. The program will focus on engineers working at companies that are part of Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network.

The first groups include engineers from companies such as Accenture, Morgan Stanley and Novo Nordisk, along with several consulting firms.

Anthropic said the academy grew out of its work with businesses that are already using Claude. The company wants to train engineers who understand both AI technology and the specific needs of businesses, allowing them to move AI projects from early ideas into real-world applications.

The training will begin with a simulated enterprise deployment followed by an assessment. Engineers who pass will enter a residency-style program where they will learn from instructors, work on practical cases and complete another assessment before receiving certification.

The first engineers are expected to be certified in early 2027.

Anthropic said the program is being launched as demand for AI engineering skills continues to grow across industries. Companies are increasingly looking for employees who can deploy AI systems, improve business processes and build new AI-powered products and services.

The investment also comes as Anthropic continues to expand its business operations and work with companies around the world. The company has also been linked to plans for a potential IPO, although details about a public listing remain subject to change.
