Eden AI Labs Inc. has raised $1.5 million in funding to develop a personal AI agent designed to help users complete everyday tasks across apps and websites.
The funding round was led by Gaea Ventures, with participation from Becker Ventures, GTM Ventures, family offices and angel investors.
Eden is building an AI assistant that can do more than answer questions. It can help users book flights, reserve restaurants, order food, schedule appointments, pay bills and complete other tasks.
More than 13,000 people have signed up for early access to the platform.
Eden aims to make AI more useful by allowing its agents to take action instead of simply providing information. The company says many everyday tasks can take 10 to 15 minutes to complete manually, and these tasks can add up to hours of work each day.
The company is also focusing on AI-powered transactions. Eden says its agent can securely book and pay for services such as flights, hotels, concert tickets and food delivery on behalf of users.
Eden is free for users and plans to make money by charging a small transaction fee on purchases made through its AI agent.
The new funding will be used to expand the team, increase computing capacity and develop partnerships with payment providers.
Eden has also launched its public beta through an invitation system, allowing existing users to invite others to join. The company was founded by a team with experience at companies including Google, Goldman Sachs, Replit, Paxos and Aptos.
