AI fintech startup Stuut has raised $52.5 million in Series B funding to help large enterprises automate collections, payments, disputes and other parts of the order-to-cash process.
The round was led by Insight Partners, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), M12, Microsoft’s Venture Fund, and Activant.
The new round comes just 10 months after Stuut’s Series A and brings the company’s total funding to $93 million.
Stuut Targets $16T Receivables Problem
Stuut is focused on a major problem for businesses: getting paid on time.
The company says businesses worldwide have around $16 trillion tied up in receivables. Missing purchase orders, incorrect invoices, payment disputes and other problems can create weeks of manual work for finance teams.
Stuut uses AI to automate much of this process.
Its platform works across collections, cash application, payments, disputes, deductions, credit and order management, allowing companies to manage more of the order-to-cash lifecycle from one system.
AI Agents Handle Finance Work
Stuut says its AI platform can contact customers, access payment portals, investigate invoice issues, reconcile payments and determine the next action.
The system also maintains information about individual customers, including how they pay, which portals they use and how previous payment problems were resolved.
According to the company, 81.7% of outbound collections activity now runs without human involvement, while 95% of incoming payments are matched automatically.
Stuut says its platform can also integrate with existing enterprise systems, including ERPs, bank accounts, CRMs and payment systems.
More Than 150 Companies Use Stuut
Stuut says more than 150 companies now use its platform, including Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 businesses.
More than $3 billion has moved through the platform, while the company’s customer base has grown fivefold over the past year.
Stuut says its customers are seeing an average 47% reduction in days sales outstanding (DSO) and can unlock as much as 40% more cash flow.
Some customers have reported significant results.
Bishop Lifting uses Stuut across 45 branches and says it has reduced overdue receivables by 35% and unlocked $3 million in working capital.
At ZoomInfo, Stuut says it has collected $21.2 million and helped reduce the company’s DSO from 51 days to 40 days, alongside other accounts-receivable initiatives.
Honeywell is using Stuut on top of its legacy SAP infrastructure and is expanding its use into quote-to-cash operations.
Funding Comes as Demand for AI Finance Tools Grows
Stuut was founded in New York by Tarek Alaruri and Ben Winter.
The company says it is growing more than 90% quarter over quarter as demand from large enterprises increases.
With its new funding, Stuut plans to expand its platform into more areas of financial infrastructure, including credit, lending and the movement of funds.
The company’s longer-term goal is to make B2B transactions increasingly autonomous, from the initial sale through documents, approvals, payments and finally getting the cash into a company’s bank account.
