Keenable, a San Francisco-based AI infrastructure company building web search technology for artificial intelligence, has raised $26 million in seed funding.
The round was led by Accel with participation from Conviction and angel investors from companies including Amazon, ClickHouse, Databricks, Google, Snowflake, and SpaceX.
Founded in 2025 by Andrey Styskin and Matthias Petri, Keenable developes web search infrastructure designed specifically for AI models. Its technology helps AI systems access and retrieve information from the live web more efficiently.
The company has built a web index containing more than 100 billion documents. Its search and retrieval systems are already being used by several AI labs and inference providers during both AI model training and runtime.
Keenable says its approach can make web search significantly more cost-efficient than traditional search infrastructure, allowing AI systems to continuously access live information without high infrastructure costs or excessive delays.
The company is also developing Web Query Language, a system designed to help AI models combine information from multiple web sources to answer complex questions.
Keenable will use the new funding to expand its engineering team in the Bay Area and Europe, grow its independent web index and crawling infrastructure, and further develop its AI retrieval technology.
The company has already secured commercial contracts with multiple AI labs and is working with model builders and inference providers to improve how AI systems access information from the web.
