SiMa.ai Raises 150M in Series C at $1.45B Valuation

SiMa.ai, a San Jose-based company developing technology for Physical AI, has raised $150 million in Series C funding, bringing its total capital raised to $500 million and valuing the company at $1.45 billion.

The oversubscribed round was co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify. Existing investors including Alter Venture Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, Maverick Capital, +ND Capital, Point72 and StepStone Group also participated.

New investors in the round include AllianceBernstein, Baron Capital, J.P. Morgan and the State of Michigan.

SiMa.ai to Expand Physical AI Platform

SiMa.ai plans to use the new capital to expand its Physical AI platform, scale its Palette Neat agentic software environment and develop next-generation hardware.

The company says its upcoming hardware is designed to deliver up to 1,000 dense TOPS of compute using purpose-built silicon for Physical AI applications.

The next-generation products are expected to launch in the first half of 2028 and will include machine learning IP, chiplets and systems-on-chip (SoCs).

“Since our initial partnership with SiMa.ai from day one, we have believed its vision was both clear and transformative: to build a fundamentally new architecture for Physical AI where software dictates the silicon. SiMa.ai has consistently proven its ability to out-innovate and out-execute the rest of the market, dramatically reducing the complexity of deploying advanced AI models on physical edge devices, and accelerating time to market for the world’s most sophisticated autonomous systems. We believe SiMa.ai has all the ingredients to become a category-defining, iconic technology company, ” said, Mike Dauber, General Partner, Amplify Partners.

“One of our core priorities at Dell Tech Capital is to back foundational technologies that bridge the gap between the data center and the far edge. As enterprise intelligence migrates into the physical world, it’s been challenged by the tradeoff between performance and power. SiMa.ai is shattering that barrier. Its platform delivers the software agility and Physical AI-optimized compute that modern enterprises require to scale computer vision and autonomous capabilities. As investors, we view SiMa.ai as a critical silicon provider and enabler for the next evolution of distributed Physical AI infrastructure, ” said, Scott Darling, President and Managing Director, Dell Technologies Capital.

“Truly scaling physical AI requires more than just raw compute. It demands incredible power efficiency and seamless integration into highly constrained environments. SiMa.ai has created a differentiated, purpose-built Physical AI platform that answers the rigorous demands of real-world applications. We are thrilled to partner with Krishna and the entire team as they accelerate their commercial execution and raise the bar to empower the next generation of robotics, drones, autonomous systems, and advanced industrial technolog, ” said, John Avirett, Partner, StepStone Group.

SiMa.ai plans to expand its presence across drones, humanoid robotics, automotive advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and AI-powered cockpits. The company says customers using its current platform will be able to migrate their applications to its future product architectures.

Physical AI Market Drives Demand for Specialized Computing

Physical AI refers to AI systems that operate in the physical world, including robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones and industrial machines.

According to Counterpoint Research, cumulative shipments of Physical AI devices are projected to reach 145 million units by 2035.

SiMa.ai is developing a full-stack platform that combines purpose-built silicon and software for deploying AI models on physical edge devices. The company says its approach is designed to reduce the complexity and power requirements associated with running AI workloads on physical systems.

The latest funding will also support the continued development of Palette Neat, which SiMa.ai describes as an agentic software environment designed to simplify Physical AI development and reduce deployment timelines.

SiMa.ai Reports Strong Commercial Growth

The funding round follows significant growth in SiMa.ai’s commercial business.

The company says its revenue quadrupled year over year between 2024 and 2025, with continued revenue growth expected in 2026.

Its customer and partner network includes companies and technology organizations such as Bosch, Emerson, Intrinsic, Micron, Synopsys, TRUMPF, ARK Electronics, AVerMedia, Kontron, L&T Technology Services, STIGA and Virya Autonomous Technologies.

SiMa.ai is focused on applications spanning robotics, automotive, drones, industrial automation, aerospace and defense, smart vision and healthcare.

With the latest $150 million Series C financing, the company plans to accelerate product development, expand internationally and scale its Physical AI technology across a broader range of real-world applications.
