Pathos AI, a clinical-stage AI and drug development company, has raised $237 million in a Series E funding round at a post-money valuation of approximately $3 billion.
The funding round was led by Bristol Myers Squibb, a global biopharmaceutical company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker BMY. Existing investors also participated in the round.
The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its proprietary AI platform, Foundry, and accelerate the clinical development of its drug pipeline.
Pathos AI to Advance Four Clinical-Stage Drug Candidates
Pathos AI has expanded its oncology drug pipeline to four active clinical-stage assets through a series of strategic transactions in recent months. The company uses its AI platform to support drug development decisions and identify promising treatment opportunities.
A major focus of the new funding will be advancing JSKN016, a TROP2/HER3 bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), toward registrational studies. These studies are designed to generate evidence that may support regulatory approval.
The company will also use the capital to advance three other drug candidates:
Pocenbrodib: Being developed for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) and relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM).
AZD4241: An estrogen receptor (ER) PROTAC drug candidate partnered with AstraZeneca.
DO-2: A next-generation MET kinase inhibitor being developed for cancer treatment.
The investment is expected to support clinical development across these programs and strengthen the company’s AI-driven drug discovery and development capabilities.
“We are building a platform to systematically improve the probability of success in drug development,” said Iker Huerga, CEO of Pathos. “Foundry has fundamentally accelerated our ability to identify highly promising clinical assets and integrate them into our pipeline. This capital allows us to rapidly scale our AI engine while actively steering our current programs toward key clinical milestones, ensuring we deliver the right therapies to the right patient populations.”
How Pathos AI Uses Artificial Intelligence in Drug Development
Pathos AI’s Foundry platform uses thousands of specialised AI agents to analyse information related to drug development programs in real time.
The platform brings together clinical data, genomic information, biological specimen data and updates on competing treatments. By combining these inputs, it aims to help researchers identify patient groups that may respond to specific treatments, make informed clinical trial decisions and identify potential risks earlier in the development process.
Pathos AI aims to use this approach to improve decision-making throughout the drug development process and reduce the risks associated with advancing experimental medicines.
About Pathos AI
Pathos AI is a New York City-based AI and technology company focused on developing its own drug pipeline. The company uses artificial intelligence to identify clinical-stage drug candidates, assess their chances of success and guide clinical trials through continuous data monitoring.
Its pipeline covers several cancer treatment areas, including metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, multiple myeloma, MET-altered non-small-cell lung cancer, ER-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer and TROP2/HER3-expressing solid tumours.
With its latest Series E funding, Pathos AI plans to expand its AI platform and advance its clinical-stage drug candidates toward further clinical milestones.
