Mojo Vision Receives 24.4 Million in Government Funding

Mojo Vision today announced $24.4 million in additional funding through an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreement with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy (OASW(IBP)).

The award includes $20 million from the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program and $4.4 million from the U.S. Army’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) organization.

The company’s largest government award to date will support the U.S. defense industrial base, expand domestic manufacturing capabilities, and advance Mojo Vision’s micro-LED platform through the development of monolithic, full-color microdisplays for near-eye augmented reality (AR) applications.

The program will focus on developing ultra-bright, monolithic microdisplays powered by Mojo Vision’s proprietary quantum dot color-conversion technology. Designed to improve brightness and reliability while reducing size, weight, and power consumption, the displays aim to enable more comfortable AR equipment and enhanced situational awareness for warfighters.

“This award accelerates our work to put ultra-bright, full-color displays into the hands of the warfighter and strengthen America’s ability to manufacture them,” said Nikhil Balram, CEO of Mojo Vision. “We built Mojo around a simple idea: the same micro-LED technology that changes how people see information can change how computing systems move data. This program strengthens the technology and manufacturing foundation behind both.”

The initiative will also advance core technologies, including micro-LED architecture, complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) integration, and wafer-scale manufacturing. These developments are expected to strengthen the company’s underlying technology platform, supporting applications across both its display and optical interconnect businesses.

About Mojo Vision

Mojo Vision is pioneering a highly flexible, wafers-in, wafers-out micro-LED platform designed to unlock artificial intelligence (AI) applications across multiple high-growth markets.

Developed over more than a decade by a team of experienced engineers, the company’s technology portfolio includes advanced 300mm silicon architecture, gallium nitride (GaN)-on-silicon micro-LED emitters, efficient photodetectors, proprietary quantum dots, custom microlens arrays, multicore fiber bundles, and proprietary software.

The platform is designed to be configured for diverse applications while addressing traditional trade-offs in size, brightness, bandwidth density, and power consumption. Its scalable, manufacturing-ready architecture supports emerging technologies such as next-generation AI glasses and high-bandwidth, massively parallel optical interconnects for AI infrastructure.
