Clinical ink, a global clinical trial technology company, has secured new investments from Ardan Equity and GI Partners to support its continued growth and global expansion.
The investment comes through Ardan Equity Fund I and GI Partners Fund VI. Both firms have invested new equity in the company through a co-control partnership. Existing investors, including GI Partners Fund V, have fully exited their previous investments. The companies did not disclose the investment amount.
Clinical ink provides technology that helps pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations (CROs) collect and manage data during clinical trials. Its platform includes electronic clinical outcome assessments (eCOA), connected medical devices, and other digital tools used in clinical research.
The company’s technology helps researchers collect complex patient data while supporting regulatory requirements and improving clinical trial processes.
Ardan Equity and GI Partners will work with Clinical ink’s management team to expand its global operations, develop new solutions, and explore opportunities across clinical research and patient care.
Dave Kreter, Managing Director and Head of Healthcare at GI Partners, said, “We are pleased with the performance of the company since our 2020 investment and the tremendous progress the company has made in expanding its customer base and strengthening its position as a leading global clinical trial technology provider. Our partnership with CEO Jonathan Goldman and the Clinical ink team, together with GI’s decade-plus experience investing in the healthcare technology and pharma services space, have delivered strong results to date. Looking ahead, we believe the accelerating pace of pharma R&D, the increasing complexity in clinical trials, and the need for high-quality tech solutions will provide strong tailwinds behind Clinical ink, and we look forward to building on that success alongside Ardan as the company enters its next phase of growth.”
“We’re delighted to welcome Clinical ink as our inaugural investment in Ardan Equity Fund I and as our eighth platform investment since 2020. We believe Clinical ink is at a key inflection point, with a compelling platform, a growing portfolio of leading pharmaceutical sponsors, and a strong path towards further expanding its footprint across the industry,” said Noah Lewis, Managing Partner at Ardan Equity. “Its differentiated technology, endpoint expertise, and patient-centric approach make Clinical ink a compelling partnership for Ardan and an ideal fit for our investment thesis, our healthcare and life sciences technology sector specialist strategy, and our portfolio. We look forward to partnering with GI, Jonathan Goldman and the Clinical ink management team as we seek to accelerate the company’s next phase of growth.”
Jonathan Goldman, MD, Chief Executive Officer of Clinical ink, stated, “The management team and I are excited to work closely with Ardan and GI Partners to drive the next chapter of Clinical ink’s evolution. We were impressed with Ardan’s expertise, capabilities, and commitment to our company’s growth. Our team is delighted that our long-term investors at GI remain with us given their longstanding experience with the company and its growth plans. The new investment by Ardan and GI represents a very positive development for our customers, the patients they serve, and the Clinical ink team.”
GI Partners first invested in Clinical ink in 2020. Since then, the company has expanded its global presence, increased revenue, entered additional therapeutic areas, and strengthened relationships with major pharmaceutical companies.
Clinical ink has also launched new solutions, including GlucoseReady and SPUR, and expanded into clinical care and disease management through its Kaitality application.
Ardan Equity, founded in 2019, focuses on investments in healthcare and life sciences technology companies. The firm works with company founders and management teams to support business growth and develop technology platforms across the healthcare industry.
