London-founded traveltech company Stasher has secured £3 million in new funding to expand its global luggage storage marketplace and smart locker network.
The funding includes around £2 million in growth financing from Gilion and a £1 million strategic investment from Hive Box, a company that provides smart locker solutions.
The company plans to grow its smart locker network across hotels and other busy locations used by travellers.
This will include transport hubs, tourist attractions and major leisure destinations across the UK and Europe.
Commenting on the investment round, Jacob Wedderburn-Day, CEO and co-founder of Stasher, said: “We’ve spent the last ten years building Stasher into a global network, and this funding gives us the firepower to accelerate the next stage of growth.”
Stasher was founded in London in 2015 by Jacob Wedderburn-Day and Anthony Collias. The company runs a marketplace that connects travellers who need a place to store their luggage with hotels and local businesses that offer secure storage space.
