Strada, a Los Angeles-based video tech platform, has received a strategic investment from content creator and filmmaker Mark Fischbach, known as Markiplier.

The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

The company plans to use the new capital to accelerate product development and launch new marketing initiatives. Planned product updates include review and approval tools, remote drive syncing, and enhanced mobile capabilities.

Founded in 2023 by brothers Michael Cioni and Peter Cioni, Strada provides remote video editing and collaboration software for creators and media teams. The platform allows users to access, share, edit and review large video files stored on local drives from different locations.

Instead of requiring users to upload large media files to centralized cloud storage, Strada uses a patented peer-to-peer architecture that turns existing local storage into a private network. Authorized team members can access media remotely while the original files remain on local drives.

The approach is designed to reduce lengthy upload times and dependence on cloud storage subscriptions, which can become expensive for teams working with large libraries of high-resolution video.

Strada has attracted more than 12,000 global downloads since launching, with customers ranging from independent creators to media teams at Fortune 500 companies.

Markiplier’s investment also brings the company a high-profile creator who has direct experience with remote video production. His involvement is expected to support Strada’s product development and marketing efforts.

The company will also showcase its technology at the IBC trade show in Amsterdam from September 11 to September 14 as it works to expand adoption among professional video and media teams.

With the new investment, Strada aims to expand its peer-to-peer video collaboration platform and provide production teams with more tools for managing large media files across distributed workflows.
