UK EV Charging Startup Rightcharge Raises £500K to Expand Across Europe

UK-based EV charging payments startup Rightcharge has raised £500,000 in growth funding. The company plans to use the money to expand across Europe and improve its platform for managing EV charging payments for business fleets.

The funding round was led by existing investor Soulmates Ventures. BlackWood Ventures and Purple Ventures also participated.

Rightcharge helps fleet operators manage payments for both home and public EV charging through one platform.

The platform automatically reimburses drivers for the electricity they use to charge company vehicles at home. It also helps fleet managers track charging costs and emissions.

Rightcharge aims to solve the challenges businesses face as more company vehicles switch to electric. Public charging is spread across many different networks, while paying drivers back for home charging can still require manual work.

“The response from customers over the past year has confirmed we’re solving a huge problem for fleets. Having surpassed our most ambitious growth projections since our seed round, this funding will help us expand the service across Europe by giving more fleet suppliers access to our Rightcharge home reimbursement platform, and continue to improve the product, “said Charlie Cook, founder and CEO of Rightcharge.

The new funding will help Rightcharge attract more customers, build stronger partnerships, and improve its platform.

The company plans to use the funding as it expands across Europe and prepares for a future Series A funding round.
