Ema Raises $77 Million Series B to Expand Enterprise AI Employees

Ema, an enterprise platform for AI-powered digital employees, has raised $77 million in Series B funding led by Creaegis.

Existing investors Accel, S32 and Prosus also increased their investments in the company. The latest round brings Ema’s total funding to $140 million and more than quadruples its valuation compared with its previous funding round.

Ema said all of its major existing investors participated in the Series B, citing customer usage, renewals and expansion as key factors behind their continued investment.

The company plans to use the new funding to expand its go-to-market operations and continue developing its AI platform. Ema has already hired several senior leaders as part of its growth plans.

Ema develops AI Employees that can perform business tasks across HR, IT and Finance. The platform connects with more than 250 business applications and systems, allowing its AI agents to plan and complete workflows while keeping humans involved in important decisions.

The company says its revenue has grown 50 times over the past 24 months. Customers also typically double their spending as they expand from an initial deployment into additional use cases.

Ema’s AI Employees are already being used by large enterprises. For example, the company supports an employee assistant for a global systems integrator that serves more than 240,000 employees across 65 countries. The system handles more than 100 workflows and around 2.9 million employee queries each year.

“Enterprises do not need more software. They need work to get done,” said Surojit Chatterjee, CEO and co-founder of Ema. “Our customers are not running experiments; they are running their HR, IT and Finance operations on AI Employees at a scale of millions of interactions a year. This round lets us bring that to many more enterprises still stuck in the pilot stage.”

Ema also works with a large global business process outsourcing provider, where its AI Employees handle more than 1 million IT service management tickets annually and process more than 1 million calls across 15 languages.

In another deployment, a global conglomerate with more than $50 billion in revenue moved Ema from initial concept to production in four weeks. The system was integrated with more than 20 business systems and serves more than 40,000 employees.

“Ema has been building the default execution backbone for autonomous enterprise work and has emerged as one of the fastest, enterprise-ready AI companies in this space,” said Prakash Parthasarathy, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer, Creaegis. “Ema’s validated offerings extend from employee-facing functions into customer operations, sales and industry-specific workflows on the same architecture, with embedded agentic capability that delivers measurable outcomes with the governance large enterprises require. We are privileged to support the management team at EMA take their solution leadership to the next level and deliver the next generation of enterprises.”

Ema’s customers include Wipro, Hitachi, ADP and PwC. The company aims to help enterprises move beyond AI pilot projects and deploy AI agents across everyday business operations.

The new funding will support Ema’s expansion as it continues developing AI Employees for enterprise workflows and increasing its presence across HR, IT and Finance.
