Seaya Launches €600M Growth Fund to Back European Tech Companies

Spanish investment firm Seaya has launched Seaya Nova, a new growth fund that has raised €600 million in its first closing within just six months. The fund plans to invest between €20 million and €50 million in each company to support businesses as they grow.

The fund is backed by the European Investment Fund (EIF) through the European Tech Champions Initiative (ETCI). The initiative was created by the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group to help European technology companies access more funding as they expand. Other institutional investors, companies, and family offices have also invested in the fund.

Beatriz González, founder of Seaya and Managing Partner of Seaya Nova, says: “Seaya Nova is the natural evolution of what we have built over thirteen years. We started backing Public founders at the earliest stage, we added a sustainability strategy with Seaya Andromeda, and now we can stay with the best European companies all the way to global leadership. We are delighted to welcome Vinoth to lead this next chapter with us.”

Vinoth Jayakumar, Managing Partner of Seaya Nova, adds: “Europe now produces companies capable of leading their categories globally. The question is no longer whether they can be built here, but whether they can be scaled from here. AI is compressing the path from product-market fit to category leadership, and the capital that decides the winner is needed earlier and in larger amounts. Seaya Nova is built for that reality, and I could not be more excited to join Seaya to build it”.

Seaya is a European investment firm that focuses on technology companies at different stages of growth. Founded in Madrid in 2013, the firm operates through three investment strategies: Seaya Ventures, which supports early-stage startups; Seaya Andromeda, which focuses on sustainability; and Seaya Nova, its new growth fund.

Seaya Nova will invest between €20 million and €50 million in each company. The fund will lead or co-lead Series B, Series C, and Series D funding rounds in European technology companies that have established business models and plans to expand globally.

The fund will focus on companies with proven business models and strong financial foundations. It aims to support businesses that are ready to grow further and expand into international markets.

Seaya Nova is led by Beatriz González, Seaya’s Founder and Managing Partner, alongside Vinoth Jayakumar, who joins the firm as Managing Partner of the new fund. Jayakumar brings more than a decade of experience investing in European growth-stage companies, including Revolut, Wise, Thought Machine, and ICEYE.

Jayakumar’s appointment comes as Seaya opens a new office in London, adding to its headquarters in Madrid. The new office is expected to strengthen the firm’s presence across European technology markets and help it connect with more growing companies.
