AI infrastructure company Granite has raised €4 million in new funding. The round was led by Bifrost Studios, with additional support from private investors. The company will use the funding to bring its technology to more customers.

Granite is developing what it calls an “agentic cloud”—infrastructure built specifically for AI agents. Instead of adapting traditional cloud systems for AI, Granite is designing its platform around AI agents from the start.

The company combines computing power, storage, and networking with its own operating system and AI software. This brings the hardware and software together in one platform.

Granite delivers its infrastructure through modular data centres. These container-sized units include computing, storage, and networking equipment and can be installed in locations where power is available. Customers can access the infrastructure through cloud services or run dedicated systems themselves.

Granite’s platform also includes tools for managing AI agents, including their memory, permissions, and access to different tools. The company says this gives organisations more control over where their AI workloads run and what technology they use.

“AI is moving from answering questions to carrying out work. That changes what businesses need from the infrastructure behind it. We are building Granite so organisations have a genuine choice about where their AI runs, who controls the underlying technology and how they develop their AI capabilities over time, “said Peter Damm, CEO of Granite.

The new funding will help Granite bring its technology to market and start delivering its AI infrastructure to more customers.

The company will use the funding to bring its software and hardware together into a complete AI infrastructure solution.
