Cyera, an enterprise data and AI security company, has secured a $400 million investment extension from Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives to its Series G funding round, which was led by Evolution Equity.
The new investment will help Cyera expand its AI security products as companies increasingly use autonomous AI agents to perform tasks and access business data.
AI agents can work with sensitive information, use software tools and take actions without direct human involvement. Cyera says this creates new security challenges for businesses because existing security systems were mainly designed to protect people and traditional applications.
Cyera is developing a platform designed to manage access and security for employees, machines and AI agents across an enterprise.
“Global 2000 enterprises are telling us the same thing: they need to trust what AI agents can see and do before they can scale them,” said Yotam Segev, cofounder and CEO of Cyera. “AI infrastructure is moving faster than the security architecture around it. This investment accelerates our work to bring data and identity together, so enterprises can give agents access with confidence and keep that access aligned with business intent.”
The company recently expanded its platform with Agent Guardian and Cyera Endpoint, which provide visibility into how AI agents operate. The tools can track activities such as tool calls, database queries and other actions performed by AI agents across cloud and endpoint environments.
Cyera also acquired Oasis Security, adding non-human identity management to its platform. The combined technology is designed to help companies understand where sensitive data is located and which people, machines or AI agents can access it.
“Securing AI will be one of the defining categories in enterprise technology over the next decade,” said Irit Kahan, Managing Director within Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives. “Cyera was the first to bring data and identity together, and as agents multiply faster than anyone can track, the gap between what they’re trusted to do and what they can actually reach is becoming increasingly dangerous. Cyera’s technology, customer traction, and execution position it to become the platform enterprises rely on to secure AI.”
Cyera will use the new funding to develop its AI security products, expand in the US federal market and grow its business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC).
The company says it is valued at more than $12 billion and is backed by investors including Accel, Blackstone, Cyberstarts, Georgian, Lightspeed and Sequoia.
