Amsterdam-based startup Neno has raised €6.6 million in Seed funding. The company provides AI-powered financial services for small and medium-sized businesses.
Neno will use the new funding to launch a new research unit and expand its accounting and tax teams. The company also plans to enter new European markets in 2027.
The funding round was led by New York-based venture fund AlleyCorp. Motive Partners, Firstminute Capital and several angel investors also participated. Neno’s angel investors include executives from Hugging Face, Mollie, Juni, Deel, Miro, Coinbase, PayPal and Navro.
“Instead of business owners coordinating between banks, bookkeepers, and tax advisors, we deliver a single “done-for-you” state of work where reconciliation, compliance, and reporting happen automatically in the background. The business owner’s only touchpoint is reviewing what’s already been handled,” said Nick Knuppe, founder and CEO of Neno.
Since launching in the Netherlands in the first quarter of 2026, Neno has grown to nearly 200 customers. Its early customers include SOUS, FeedbackFruits, The Cirqle, Airweave and Rally, covering industries such as hospitality, HR, legal services, ecommerce and SaaS.
Neno wants to help business owners save more than 100 hours each year by bringing accounting, tax, payroll and business banking into one AI-powered platform.
The company’s team includes former startup founders, fintech professionals and chartered accountants. Many team members have previously worked at companies such as Mollie, Adyen, Remote, Plaid, Deloitte, BDO and EY.
Neno is targeting Europe’s accounting, tax and professional services market, which the company estimates is worth more than €200 billion per year. More than half of Europe’s 26 million small and medium-sized businesses outsource accounting, payroll and tax work, especially companies with between 10 and 100 employees.
“AI-native financial infrastructure with embedded professional services is one of the most compelling untouched opportunities in modern fintech today. Neno is reengineering the very role of accountants and tax advisors, disrupting a 50-year-old professional services model. The team’s deep domain experience and ability to become a category leader in AI-native financial services were key reasons for AlleyCorp to invest,” said Luc Ryan-Schreiber, Investor at AlleyCorp
Neno will use the new funding to launch Neno Labs, a new unit focused on research and development. The company plans to work on what it calls Ambient AI.
The funding will also help Neno hire more employees across its accounting, tax and sales teams as the company continues to grow.
