Uplift Ventures Launches €100 Million Fund to Back Europe’s Next DeepTech Startups

Uplift Ventures, a venture platform based in Hamburg and Berlin, has launched its first €100 million venture capital fund. The fund will invest in the next generation of DeepTech startups across Europe.

The fund is backed by Jungheinrich, the German intralogistics company that founded Uplift Ventures. It will invest in up to 20 startups, as well as selected DeepTech venture funds.

Most of the investments will focus on companies in Europe and the US. Uplift Ventures also aims to build a global network that will continue to support founders even after making the initial investment.

“DeepTech requires patient capital and partners who understand both industrial challenges and entrepreneurial ambition. Uplift Ventures invests in the next generation of industrial leaders, making them an important partner for Jungheinrich, firstly with world class financial returns and with immense value for our 2030+ strategy,” said Dr. Lars Brzoska, CEO, Jungheinrich.

Founded in 2025, Uplift Ventures is an independent venture platform backed by Jungheinrich. The company has already built the compliance automation startup turnus.ai and invested in several European DeepTech funds.

Uplift Ventures wants to use Europe’s strong industrial base, which includes companies such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Rolls-Royce, to help create a new generation of global technology companies.

Its new €100 million DeepTech fund aims to address a major funding gap in Europe by providing more capital to promising DeepTech startups at the late Seed and Series A stages.

The fund will focus on four key areas: physical AI, energy, enterprise AI, and logistics. Uplift Ventures will take a flexible approach to investments, acting as a lead, co-lead, or participating investor depending on the needs of the founders and funding round.

Christian Noske has joined Uplift Ventures as Founding General Partner to lead the new fund. He will work with the existing leadership team, including Kerk Wichmann, Christina Hammes, and Maike Steding.

“We’ve spent years investing in Deep Tech and have seen both the many ways these companies can fail and what it takes to build exceptional outcomes. I’m excited about launching Uplift Ventures’ new fund: Europe needs dedicated Deep Tech investors who are in it for the long run. Founders build great companies—we’re here to have their backs and provide resources, experience and a global perspective,” said Noske.

Noske will work with an investment team that includes Katharina Schild, Lukas Böttcher, Susan Suzart, and Helge Jelinski. The team brings experience from companies and investment firms such as Cathay Innovation, Speedinvest, Mimic Robotics, and Start Global.

Together, the team has invested in more than 30 startups across different technology sectors. Their experience will support Uplift Ventures as it invests in and helps grow new DeepTech companies.
