European Cybersecurity Startup Netsec Raises $10M+ to Simplify IT and Security

European IT and cybersecurity company Netsec has raised more than $10 million in equity funding. The round was led by Partech, with participation from Primo Capital and View Different, founded by Diego Piacentini. Netsec is focused on managing IT and cybersecurity for businesses through a single platform and operator.

The company also has several other investors, including Riccardo Zacconi, Kima Ventures, Ithaca Investments, Vento, Vito Lomele, Everywhere Ventures, and a group of angel investors from the cybersecurity and technology industries.

Cyber threats such as ransomware, phishing, and supply-chain attacks are becoming more common for businesses of all sizes. At the same time, European regulations such as NIS2 and DORA are increasing cybersecurity and compliance requirements. Netsec says many mid-sized European companies still use multiple separate providers for IT and security, including device management, identity, network security, monitoring, and help desk services. This can make systems harder to manage, increase costs, and leave gaps in security. Netsec aims to bring these services together under one provider with clear responsibility for the entire IT and cybersecurity setup.

“Companies don’t need another dashboard. They’ve got plenty of tools, but no one is actually orchestrating them as they should. They need someone to own both cybersecurity and IT as a whole. We built Netsec so mid-market companies get the security and IT operations of a much larger organization without having to build them in-house. Today, after just a year of activity, we manage thousands of endpoints for clients across Europe and the United States. We run an incident response retainer with a median response time under 14 minutes across thousands of tickets received as of today. Building on that traction, the capital raised in this round will fund the build-out of our automation and integration layer, alongside expansion of our operations and continued growth across both markets,” said Gianluca Varisco, CEO and co-founder of Netsec.

“Managed services have always scaled with headcount. Netsec breaks that link, pairing a single operator with automation that absorbs the volume work. The team at Netsec has the operating depth to make the model hold as it grows. That is a rare combination and we are pleased to join the founders in their journey,” said Réza Malekzadeh, General Partner, Partech

“We back founders as much as products, and Netsec is a team of operators who have spent decades building and defending major businesses and institutions across the world. That international tenure shaped how they think about security, not as a compliance checkbox but as an engineering discipline that has to work everywhere. With regulatory pressure rising and threats only intensifying, that’s precisely the team you want in the arena,” said Niccolò Sanarico, Partner, Primo Capital.

Netsec manages the IT and cybersecurity needs of mid-sized businesses through a single service. Its services are delivered through platforms such as Slack and Microsoft Teams and are priced based on the number of employees.

The company, operated by Barbican SAS, is headquartered in France and Italy and holds ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications. Netsec works with businesses across Europe and the US and helps them meet key compliance requirements, including NIS2, DORA, GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
