French fintech company Cleavr has raised €8 million in a seed funding round to expand its accounts receivable automation platform across Europe.
The round was led by Varsity, with existing investors Kima Ventures and Better Angle also participating. Other investors included Portfolio Ventures, Kerala, and Financière Saint James.
“Collections is a repetitive, unrewarding task that nobody wants to do. By delegating it to Cleavr, finance teams can focus on higher-value work,” said Baptiste Nassoy, co-founder and CEO of Cleavr.
Cleavr will use the new funding to improve its product, grow its sales team, and expand its business across Europe.
“The era of traditional SaaS is over: businesses used to have to adapt to the software. AI finally lets us offer ultra-personalisation at scale. Cleavr adapts to each organisation, each ERP and each internal process, within days. No activation fees, no locked-in licenses. What keeps customers is the cash coming in faster, “said co-founders Arthur Guérin and Antoine Grenard.
Cleavr was founded by Baptiste Nassoy, Arthur Guerin, and Antoine Grenard. The company is building an AI-powered platform that helps businesses track and collect unpaid invoices automatically. It focuses on a process that is still manual for many companies and often requires several different tools.
After an invoice is sent, Cleavr’s platform identifies the right people to contact and automatically follows up with them. These follow-ups can be made through email, phone calls, or SMS.
The platform also keeps track of promised payments and helps handle payment disputes. Human support is only involved when necessary, allowing businesses to spend less time chasing unpaid invoices.
