Fambot, a San Francisco-based AI startup, has raised $3.5 million in pre-seed funding to make it easier for parents to manage family schedules, communications, and everyday tasks.
The round was led by NextView Ventures and Baukunst, with participation from Correlation Ventures, Karman Ventures, and Founders Network.
Founded by David Reich, Greg Karlin, and Jason Morrow, Fambot is building an AI “chief of staff” for families. The platform connects to information that families already use, including Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, calendars, and WhatsApp groups, instead of asking parents to manage another separate system.
“What we expect a working parent to get done on any given day is impossible. Not kind of hard — literally impossible. If AI can write code and run businesses, it should be able to handle permission slips and practice schedules too. Success for us isn’t how many features we ship or how much time people spend in the app — it’s whether parents feel lighter, more confident, and more present with their kids,” said David Reich, Fambot CEO and Founder.
Fambot reviews this information and creates a clear daily plan, which is sent to parents by text each evening. Its Shared Family Account allows both parents to receive the same daily digest and assign tasks or events to each other. Families can also chat with Fambot through text messages or its mobile app and delegate tasks as they would to a personal assistant.
The platform is designed to do more than simply organize information. For example, if a school email announces a field trip, Fambot can identify important details such as a permission slip, chaperone requirements, lunch instructions, and bus departure time and bring each item to the parent’s attention when it is needed.
“For years, families have been expected to manage an extraordinary amount of complexity with tools that were never designed for the job. AI changes what’s possible. Fambot is building a new kind of infrastructure for family life, one that can understand the context of a family’s day-to-day life and actually help manage it. We’re thrilled to back David and the Fambot team as they bring this vision to life,” added Kate McAndrew, Co-Founder and General Partner of Baukunst.
“43 million families in the US have kids under 16, and every one of them is navigating the increasingly complex logistics of family life. Fambot is building for a massive, everyday need: helping parents stay on the same page in the never-ending bombardment of school and family-related information. We jumped at the opportunity to back David and the Fambot team as they build a new category at the intersection of AI and the everyday economy,” said Stephanie Palmeri, NextView Partner.
Fambot launched publicly in September 2026 with more than 1,000 families already using the platform. The company says its goal is to reduce the administrative burden of family life and give parents fewer systems to manage.
The startup will use its new funding to expand the platform and business, while continuing to develop its AI technology. Fambot is currently free to use while in beta and is available on iOS and Android.
