DOD Solution Secures €1.8M to Expand AURA AI Autonomy Platform

Estonian-Ukrainian DefenceTech company DOD Solution has secured €1.8 million ($2.1 million) in pre-seed funding. The company will use the funding to speed up the development and growth of its AURA AI autonomy platform.

The funding round included Angel One Fund, Better Angle, Defence Builder Fund, Network VC, Newfund, UAID Fund, WildField Ventures, and 4C-Next Holding AG.

Canadian drone technology company Draganfly also joined the round as a strategic investor. DOD Solution develops onboard AI autonomy technology for unmanned systems.

“Autonomy needs to work across different unmanned systems and operational environments, rather than remain a capability tied to a single platform. Our focus now is to make AURA AI easier to integrate, faster to scale and capable of supporting increasingly demanding onboard applications. This round gives us the resources and the right partners to accelerate that transition,” says Roman Hapachylo, CEO of DOD Solution.

The new funding will help DOD Solution bring the next generation of its AURA SBC into production. The company will also continue improving AURA OS and its onboard AI capabilities.

DOD Solution plans to use the funding to speed up partnerships and integrations with unmanned platform manufacturers in Ukraine and international markets.

Founded in 2023, DOD Solution develops onboard computers and AI-based autonomy systems for unmanned platforms. The company works with manufacturers to add autonomous capabilities to defence systems.

Its main product, AURA AI, combines the AURA SBC onboard computer with AURA OS, the company’s autonomy software. Together, they provide AI-powered capabilities for unmanned systems.

AURA AI supports autonomous navigation, object detection, target recognition and tracking, and terminal guidance. The system is designed to continue operating when GPS signals or communication links are weak or unavailable.
