Claimlane Raises €5.6M Series A to Expand AI-Powered Aftersales Platform in the US

Aftersales technology company Claimlane has raised €5.6 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Verb Ventures, with participation from Skagerak Capital and Vendep Capital.

The company will use the new funding to develop AI agents tailored to the needs of individual customers. It also plans to expand its business in the United States.

Claimlane provides a platform that helps brands and retailers handle product-related problems, such as warranty claims, repairs, replacements and refunds. It also helps businesses manage communication with suppliers. Its customers include well-known brands such as Skechers, Black Diamond, tonies and Hummel.

When a product is faulty or damaged, resolving the issue often involves several parties, including retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and repair companies. Managing these cases can take a lot of time, especially when businesses use different systems to check claims, decide who is responsible and arrange solutions.

Claimlane aims to make this process easier by bringing all aftersales activities into one platform. It connects customers, retailers, brands and service partners so they can share information and manage product issues more efficiently. The platform helps businesses check warranty conditions, supplier agreements and previous cases before deciding what action to take. This could include arranging repairs, replacing products, issuing refunds or providing credit notes.

The platform also helps businesses reduce paperwork and manual tasks while keeping all case information in one place. It allows companies to identify common product problems, improve relationships with suppliers and recover value from products that might otherwise go to waste.

“We see an opportunity to change the economics of aftersales across both customer and business relationships. Resolve issues in a way that earns customer trust, recover more value from products and give teams time to improve the business. This investment will help us bring AI deeper into that work and further accelerate our growth in the US, “said Anders Sommer, CEO and co-founder of Claimlane.

Claimlane will use the new funding to develop AI agents that can be customised to each customer’s products, policies, supplier agreements and business processes.

These AI agents will help aftersales teams review information, handle repetitive tasks and resolve product-related issues more quickly. However, human employees will remain involved in decisions that require their judgement.
