Piney Secures €1.6 Million to Scale AI-Powered Rental Property Services

Cyprus-founded cleaning and operations company Piney has raised €1.6 million in new funding. The company provides cleaning and other operational services for managers of short- and mid-term rental properties.

The funding round was led by Uni.fund, which also led Piney’s previous €1.2 million funding round in December 2024. The latest round also included 33East, while existing investor VENTERI Capital continues to support the company.

“This round is about taking what we’ve proven across Europe and bringing it to the world. In under two years, we’ve almost quadrupled the properties we serve, and our technology, increasingly AI-driven, is what makes that pace possible. Property managers everywhere face the same operational challenges, and with Miami, we’re showing that Piney’s model travels,” said Nicolas Chrysostomou, founder and CEO of Piney.

Founded in 2022, Piney is more than just a cleaning company. It provides services to more than 5,000 properties across Spain, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, France and the United States.

The company says its services can reduce the daily workload of property managers by up to 80%. It does this through its own cleaning teams, automated scheduling and a real-time system that helps managers monitor operations.

Piney manages several important tasks for short- and mid-term rental properties, including cleaning, laundry, linen management and guest amenities. All these services are managed through Piney’s own technology platform.

The company says its technology helps it grow more like a software business rather than a traditional hospitality company that depends heavily on manual work and large teams.

Piney will use the new funding to grow in its existing European markets, improve its technology platform and expand into markets outside Europe. The company recently launched its services in Miami, its first market in the United States.

The company plans to use Miami as a model for future expansion in other international markets. This will help Piney grow its business outside Europe.

Piney is also using AI to improve its operations. Its platform can now check photos taken by cleaners in real time and identify problems while they are still at the property. This allows issues to be fixed before guests notice them or make complaints.
