Claret Capital Partners Raises €575 Million

London-based growth debt fund manager Claret Capital Partners has completed the final close of its Claret European Growth Capital Fund IV (Fund IV).

The fund has raised a total of €575 million, which is higher than the company’s original target of €500 million.

The new fund will provide growth funding to European companies, helping businesses get the capital they need to expand and grow.

David Bateman, Managing Partner at Claret Capital Partners, commented, “To have raised this amount not only validates our approach and track record but is also a massive vote of confidence for the European technology, life sciences and impact ecosystems. With a growing pipeline of high-quality opportunities, the team is actively deploying capital and continuing to look for great entrepreneurs building the next generation of European champions.”

Since 2013, Claret Capital Partners has invested more than €1.5 billion through its funds and supported over 210 companies. The firm works with businesses in technology, life sciences, and impact-focused sectors. Its team has more than 25 years of experience in technology financing and provides debt funding that helps companies grow while reducing the need to give up ownership.

Claret typically provides loans ranging from €2 million to €100 million. Each investment is reviewed individually by its experienced investment team. The funding can be used for business growth, acquisitions, equipment and other capital expenses, working capital, research and development, expanding into new markets, and marketing and distribution.

The company can also provide bridge loans to help businesses extend their cash runway until their next funding round. It also supports different types of business recapitalisation. In addition, Claret offers customised advisory and fund management services across several investment funds.

Johan Kampe, Managing Partner at Claret Capital Partners, commented, “It continues to be a true privilege to support the founders and entrepreneurs who are driving real innovation across Europe at a monumental time for both business and society. As equity markets remain more selective and founders look for ways to grow without unnecessary dilution, we expect demand for flexible, non-dilutive capital to keep accelerating – and Fund IV positions us to meet that demand at scale.”

After closing the fund, Claret plans to continue expanding its business across Europe. The firm will strengthen its presence in major technology and innovation hubs, with new team members already working in Paris and plans to add a team in Berlin soon.
