Prime Minute, a startup developing technology for disaster response and public resilience, has emerged from stealth with $15 million in pre-seed funding led by Eclipse, with participation from 8VC.
The company is focused on improving the early response to wildfires, particularly during conditions when traditional firefighting methods may be difficult to use.
Prime Minute’s system combines real-time intelligence, AI-assisted mission analysis and precision aerial suppression technology to help emergency responders assess wildfire conditions, coordinate resources and respond more quickly.
The technology is designed to support wildfire response during challenging situations, including high winds, nighttime incidents, poor visibility and locations that are difficult for ground crews to reach.

The first hour of an incident often determines its ultimate impact. Prime Minute was built to close that gap, giving responders the tools to detect threats sooner, assess them faster, and act when every second counts.”
Prime Minute was founded by a team with experience across public service, aerospace and national security, including former operators and technology leaders from organizations such as Palantir, Forterra and Datorios.

The company will use the funding to continue technology development, expand local manufacturing, grow its team, and support testing and validation programs.
Prime Minute is also working with the State of Colorado to deploy prototypes for field evaluation of its wildfire suppression technology later this year.
The company said its broader goal is to develop technology for public resilience by identifying operational gaps and building systems that can help communities respond to natural disasters and other large-scale emergencies.
