Menos AI Raises $5.1M in Pre-A Round

Menos AI, an AI-native platform for institutional investors, has raised $5.1 million in Pre-A funding, taking its total capital raised to more than $10 million.

The round was led by returning investor Copper Sky Capital, with participation from Alpha Square Group. Jack Selby led the investment for Copper Sky. Selby is also managing director at Thiel Capital.

Menos AI plans to use the new funding to expand its operations and continue developing its AI infrastructure for asset managers and institutional investors.

Menos AI Expands Beyond AI Research

Menos AI launched its Sonαr research agent in August 2025. Since then, the company has expanded from AI-powered research into broader enterprise AI infrastructure.

The company says it now works with several major global asset managers and sophisticated hedge funds.

Menos AI’s platform is designed to connect a firm’s proprietary knowledge, investment workflows and AI agents across research, portfolio management and operations.

Building a Private Context Layer for Investment Firms

Menos AI argues that as AI models become increasingly available across the market, institutional investors will need to differentiate through their own knowledge and decision-making processes.

Investment expertise often develops over years through research, experience and repeated decision-making. However, much of that knowledge can remain in employees’ heads or become scattered across different systems.

Menos AI addresses this by providing a secure, private and auditable context layer for institutional investors.

The platform can organize proprietary research, portfolio data, investment reasoning and operational workflows into a structured resource that firms can control and reuse.

AI Agents for Research and Operations

The company’s infrastructure also allows AI agents to work with institutional knowledge and perform tasks across investment workflows.

Menos AI says its platform can support AI-driven research, reporting and operational tasks, allowing investment teams to increase their capacity without increasing costs at the same rate.

The context layer can also evolve as analysts and AI agents test assumptions, refine investment hypotheses and add new research.

Menos AI Targets Institutional Investment Workflows

Led by William Wu, co-founder and CEO, Menos AI is focused on building AI infrastructure specifically for institutional investors.

The company aims to help asset managers preserve their proprietary knowledge while making it more accessible to employees and AI systems.

With more than $10 million in total funding, Menos AI plans to continue expanding its platform and developing tools that connect institutional knowledge with AI-powered investment workflows.
