Belgium’s NewSchool VC Closes €10 Mn First Fund for B2B Startups

NewSchool VC, a Belgium-based venture capital firm, has closed its first fund at its €10 million target. The fund focuses on investing in B2B technology startups at the pre-Seed stage.

NewSchool VC announced the first close of €6.1 million for NewSchool Fund I in September 2025. Around 50 investors are backing the fund, including six family offices and several Belgian entrepreneurs.

The investors include The Millers Office, Willem Delbaere and Roeland Delrue of Aikido Security, Jean-Louis Van Houwe of Monizze, and Luc Coopman of Cobofisk. NewSchool founder Christophe Morbee also invested in the fund, contributing 25% of the total capital.

“I invested as an angel for years, but felt it was time to build a real structure around it. I love entrepreneurship, investing, and sharing what I know about marketing, sales, HR and finance with founders. That’s what led me to launch a full-fledged fund,” said Morbee.

Christophe Morbee founded NewSchool after spending several years as an angel investor. He is also the CEO of Belgian payroll and HR company Besox, which has around 110 employees and serves about 4,000 small and medium-sized businesses.

NewSchool uses Besox’s business network to help its portfolio startups connect with potential customers and find new business opportunities.

Some of the notable startups in NewSchool’s portfolio include Ravical, Warren, Spotable and Donna, which have since raised additional funding rounds. The fund has also recently invested in Talentir, a Swiss company, and Outline, a startup based in Paris.
