AMDB Security Pro Raises €2.68 Million to Expand Excavator Anti-Theft Technology in the US

AMDB Security Pro, an engineering company based in Lyon, France, has raised €2.68 million (around $3.1 million) in a Seed funding round. The investment came from two private investors based in the United States.

AMDB Security Pro plans to use the new funding to expand its business in the US. The company plans to set up a local subsidiary as part of this expansion.

The company will also focus on building strategic partnerships in the US. It plans to continue its research and development (R&D) work and create new anti-theft equipment for other types of construction machinery.

“Closing this round marks a defining step for AMDB Security Pro as we prepare our establishment in the United States. This investment lets us build our U.S. operations, deepen our relationships with rental companies, insurers, and equipment manufacturers, and keep advancing our technology into new equipment categories,” said Pascal Oltra, co-founder of AMDB Security Pro.

AMDB Security Pro was founded by Pascal Oltra and Kevin Kaarouche. The company says it has developed the first made-in-France mechanical anti-theft system for excavators and mini-excavators. Its patented device is designed to stop machines from being started without permission.

The company focuses on preventing construction equipment theft before it happens. This is especially important in the United States, where theft of construction machinery can cause major financial losses.

The anti-theft device is made from hardened boron steel, a strong material designed to resist sawing, bolt cutters, and twisting attempts. It also includes a 120 dB alarm and GPS tracker.

The system also has a hidden compartment where users can safely keep the key. AMDB Security Pro says its technology is compatible with more than 100 brands of mini-excavators and other construction equipment.

With the new funding, the company plans to expand into the US construction equipment and rental market. It will open a US subsidiary, hire local teams, and strengthen its sales and operations. AMDB Security Pro aims to support large-scale deployment across the US by 2027 while also developing anti-theft solutions for more types of equipment.
