Lego H1 2026 Results Revenue Hits $6.5 Billion as Sales Jump 21%

The LEGO Group has reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026, with revenue and operating profit both growing by more than 20%.

LEGO said revenue rose 21% to DKK 41.9 billion (about $6.5 billion), compared with DKK 34.6 billion in the same period last year. Consumer sales increased 22%, helping the company grow faster than the global toy market and gain market share.

Operating profit increased 22% to DKK 10.9 billion while net profit jumped 32% to DKK 8.6 billion.

CEO Niels B. Christiansen said strong demand for LEGO products and new brand partnerships helped drive the growth. The company continues to attract builders of different ages and interests.

New Products and Partnerships

LEGO launched more than 330 new products during the first half of 2026. Popular themes included LEGO Speed Champions, Botanicals, Technic, Icons and Star Wars.

The company also launched its LEGO SMART Play platform, which adds interactive technology to LEGO sets. Partnerships with brands and events such as Formula 1, FIFA World Cup 2026, Pokémon and KPop Demon Hunters also helped attract customers.

More Stores and Investments

LEGO now has 1,106 branded stores worldwide.

The company invested DKK 4.6 billion in factories and other facilities during the first half of the year. It also spent DKK 1.9 billion to acquire 29 LEGO and LEGOLAND Discovery Centres from Merlin Entertainments.

Construction is continuing on a new LEGO factory and regional distribution center in Virginia, USA. Both are expected to open in 2027.

Focus on Sustainability

LEGO is also increasing its focus on sustainability. In June, the company started building its largest solar park in Billund, Denmark. The site will have 160,000 solar panels and is expected to generate 99 GWh of electricity each year when it becomes operational in 2027.

The company is also working to increase the use of renewable and recycled materials and is moving toward paper-based packaging.

Overall, LEGO said its strong first-half performance gives it confidence to continue investing in new products, technology, manufacturing and sustainability.
