
Standard Metrics, an AI-powered portfolio management platform for venture capital and private equity firms, has raised $20 million in Series B funding.
The round was led by 8VC, with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Spark Capital, January Capital, First Trust Capital Partners, Socii Capital, Kindergarten Ventures, Calm Ventures, Gaingels, and other investors.
Founded in 2020, Standard Metrics helps VC and PE firms manage portfolio data, track company performance, handle valuations, prepare LP reports, and support investment decisions.
The company uses AI and automated data tools to collect and analyze information from portfolio companies. Its platform also includes AI document parsing, an AI Analyst, MCP interoperability, and AI-powered reporting tools.
Standard Metrics says its business has grown about 20 times since its Series A. The platform now supports more than 10,000 portfolio companies and 150 investment firms managing over $400 billion in assets.

The company will use the new funding to expand its AI capabilities, grow its team, and reach more private market investors and portfolio companies.
Standard Metrics is led by CEO John Melas-Kyriazi and counts leading investment firms such as General Catalyst, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Accel among its customers.
